Manga Studio EX

Manga Studio EX (also known as Clip Studio Paint) is a highly advanced manga and comic illustration editor that provides an incredible array of tools and services to both novice and seasoned manga and comic artists. With built-in tools for fast and streamlined comic book creations, users of this app can quickly set up their pages and frames, easily access most-used comic book clip-art objects such as text bubbles and in-page visual representations of various effects and focus on the simple act of drawing. The app also supports advanced tools such as lossless resizing, conversion of bitmap drawing into resolution-independent vector images, and full support for a wide array of pen tablets that can recreate the sensation of drawing of paper, while taking advantage of advanced tools for on-the-fly changing of over 80 supported brush types and many other features.

Manga Studio EX has a large built-in library of objects, which even include 3D objects (over props and background objects) that can be quickly imported to your scene, rotated, and adjusted directly on the page alongside your 2D drawings.

After numerous upgrades, It has even gained support to properly handle advanced comic book setups such as Multiple-page story layouts, advanced text settings, and full backward compatibility support for importing files created in older versions of this digital image creation suite (including both Debut and EX versions). Image export options are also as advanced as its image drawing tools. Finalized comics, test drawings, and individual vectorized objects can be easily exported to a wide variety of Windows and Mac compatible file formats, including MP, JPEG, PNG, PSD, TGA, EPS, TIFF, PDF, and PICT.

It is important to note that the Manga Studio app is also known around the world as CLIP STUDIO PAINT. Both apps are identical in their capabilities, UI, and function, but are named differently because of their different distribution formats. While Clip Studio Paint is a digital-only app, Manga Studio is dedicated only to physical distribution via retail and online e-shop portals.
