Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) said he lost his voice during a Senate confirmation hearing on Tuesday because he was celebrating President Trump’s inauguration “a little too much” the day before.
“Forgive my voice,” he told U.N. ambassador nominee Elise Stefanik.
His voice sounded painfully raspy as he tried to find his usual pitch.
“I think I’ve been celebrating making America great again a little too much,” McCormick added.
