Google Photos App

Google Photos App is the official windows photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Originally released in 2011 as the part of the social network platform Google+, Google Photos was separated into a standalone service in May of 2015 after which it becomes one of the most widely used photo storage platforms in the world with over 1 billion active users who are uploading on average over 28 billion photos and videos each week.

Between 2015 and mid-2021, Google Photos was one of the most popular mobile apps that created a cloud copy of photos made by billions of Android and iOS users, with a popular feature of unlimited storage space for photos that were up to 16megapixels in size. However, Google has announced that they will stop their unlimited storage offering in mid-2021, forcing users to purchase monthly or yearly storage extensions.

Google Photos App is 100% FREE and can be downloaded on any PC running a modern version of Windows OS. The app requires users to log in using their Google profiles. There is no premium in-app unlocks or advertisements, except for the option to purchase larger online storage on Google cloud servers.
