Cuphead is set in the cartoony world where our main hero has managed to gamble away his soul in the fantastical Devil Casino. This pushes him on an adventure to fight off an incredible variety of bosses who are trying to steal his soul. The campaign of the game is crafted into a run-and-gun selection of levels where the main attention is placed on large boss encounters, with a limited amount of traditional platforming against smaller and more nimble enemy characters. The boss encounters are the most memorable moments of this game, featuring large and exquisitely detailed opponents that can unleash an unbelievable amount of offense on our character.

The entire visual style of the game is full of detail and animation quirks, transforming an ordinary 2D platformer into an incredibly impressive work of art. In addition to solo play, Cuphead can also be experienced in a two-player coop.
