Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is a compilation title set in a brutal and unforgiving universe of Mortal Kombat competitive fighting games. Developed by Midway Games and released in arcades in 1995, this standalone upgrade to the popular MK3 title managed soon arrived on a wide variety of home gaming platforms, including PCs via the help of accurate and optimized emulators. As a compilation title, this game improves upon the MK3 by introducing a wide variety of new playable characters (including a return of some series favorites), a rebalanced gameplay system that promoted more fair competitive play, and several other modes of play. Immediately after its release, this game managed to attract considerable attention from the worldwide media and audience.

The roster of playable characters includes all the members of the original MK 3 game, with four additional fighters (Jade, Kitana, Reptile, and Scorpion), with three new characters being added post-launch (Mileena, Ermac, and Classic Sub-Zero). As an added bonus, hidden fighter Smoke can be unlocked via a pre-match code. The new gameplay options include the introduction of the 2-on-2 tag mode and a brand new eight-player Tournament mode. For the fans of solo play, this title adds a new Master difficulty that is suitable only for the masters of fighting games. A new collectible-hunting mode called Shao Kahn's Lost Treasures is unlocked after finishing the main campaign or winning a Tournament.

The gameplay balance is changed with the addition of new moves, altered moves, brand new combos, and the ability to start chain combos from different situations. The game also features an enhanced enemy AI and several new backgrounds.

After more than two decades on the market, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is today regarded as one of the best titles of the 2D-era of the MK franchise. In recent years, the game received a renaissance of popularity after it was ported to many more modern gaming platforms.  However, the original arcade port remains one of the most respected and highly sought for. Thankfully since this PC version is fully based on the original arcade ROM, PC gamers from all around the world can get immersed in this fast-paced, brutal, and addictive competitive fighting game on any modern PC or laptop.
